Terms of use

1. Scope

These terms govern your use of the imece website, desktop app, command-line tool and related services (the "service"). The service is provided by Batuhan Özoğuz (imece). Contact: hello@imece.io

By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms. If you accept them on behalf of a team or company, you confirm that you are authorised to do so. How we process your personal data is described in the privacy notice (imece.io/privacy).

2. Closed beta

• The service is in closed beta and open only to admitted teams. It is free during the beta.
• Features may change or be removed without notice, and there may be outages and bugs. The service is provided as is, with no committed availability.
• If paid plans are introduced they will be announced in advance; paid plans have their own terms and you will not be charged for anything you have not agreed to.

3. Account and security

• You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and your sign-in credentials and devices secure.
• If you notice unauthorised use of your account, tell us right away at hello@imece.io.
• The team's founder and admins decide who joins the team and who is removed.

4. Your content

• Content your team shares through the service (handoffs, notes, decisions, messages and files) belongs to you and your team.
• We store, process and deliver it to your team members only as far as needed to provide the service. We do not sell your content or use it for advertising.
• You must have the right to share what you share. We recommend not sharing secrets such as passwords or access keys, or personal data you do not need to share.

5. AI tools and other services

• imece works alongside the AI tools you use and services such as GitHub. Content passed to those tools is subject to their own terms.
• You are responsible for reviewing output produced by AI tools or suggested through the service before you use it.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to:

• Share content that is unlawful or infringes the rights of others.
• Try to bypass the service's security measures or access other teams' data.
• Put load on the service beyond normal use or abuse it with automated tools.
• Resell or rent the service to third parties without permission.

7. Intellectual property

The imece software, name and mark belong to the provider. During the beta you are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the service. We may use feedback you send us to improve the product.

8. Suspension and termination

• You can stop using the service at any time and ask for your account and data to be deleted at hello@imece.io.
• We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.
• The beta may end. If it does, we will let you know in advance and give you time to export your data.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damage, loss of profit or loss of data arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service. Liability for intent and gross negligence is not excluded.

10. Changes

These terms may change. The new version is published on this page, and we will also announce significant changes by email or in the app. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new version.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul have jurisdiction over disputes; your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
